Pali city is the administrative headquarter of Pali District of Rajasthan and is known as "The Industrial City".
It has been famous for its textile industries. Cotton and Synthetic clothes and yarn are exported to other states of India on very cheap rate. There is a cotton mill here named as Maharaja Shree Umaid Mills. This is the biggest cotton mill of Rajasthan. It employs 3000 workers.
